The Kizer Salient is a large fixed knife, designed by Morgan Koens. For this knife, Kizer opted for 1095 carbon steel. This type of steel can really take a beating. It isn’t stainless, but it is easy to sharpen. To help with corrosion resistance, the blade has a DLC coating. The robust handle feels great in hand. The scales are made from G10, which is a very strong, lightweight composite material.
